Submission Guidelines

Publication process at Journal of Drug Research and Pharmaceutical Science (JDRPS) is quite well-defined and follows a well-organized procedure with an aim to uphold high standards of publication. It is recommended that the authors go through the scope, submission guidelines and format of JDRPS before sending their manuscripts for publication.

JDRPS accepts original research that is unpublished and not under consideration by any other journal at the same time. Manuscripts must be written in English and meet the ethical and technical guidelines of JDRPS to expedite the process of editorial evaluation and peer review.

Submission Process

Step 1 – Prepare the Manuscript

Before submission, authors should ensure that:

  • The manuscript complies with the formatting requirements of the journal.
  • The study is relevant to JDRPS.
  • All necessary sections and documents have been provided.
  • References and citations are all correct and in proper format.
  • Illustrations, figures, and tables are all referenced and labeled properly.

Step 2 – Submit the Manuscript

Manuscripts should be submitted via the journal’s submission system, and authors must ensure that:

  • The author information is provided correctly.
  • All necessary declarations and supplementary material have been uploaded.
  • Submission criteria have been met prior to submission.

Step 3 – Editorial Screening

Initial assessment by the Editorial Office includes:

  • Relevance to the scope of the journal
  • Scientific quality and novelty
  • Observance of ethical standards in publications
  • Completeness of the article
  • Conformity with the formatting of the journal

Step 4 – Double-Blind Peer Review

The manuscripts which successfully clear the process of editorial screening move on to undergo a double-blind peer review. The expert reviewers then judge the originality, scientific significance, methodology, and quality of the study before recommending it to the editorial board.

Step 5 – Revision

Authors may be requested to revise their manuscript according to reviewer and editor's feedback. The revised version of the manuscript will have to respond to all feedback carefully and could be reviewed again.

Step 6 – Editorial Decision

Editor-in-Chief takes the decision on publication based on reviewer's suggestions and editorial evaluation as well as the scientific contribution of the manuscript. Authors are informed whether their manuscript has been accepted, needs revision, or has been rejected.

Step 7 – Publication

Accepted manuscripts proceed through the production process, which includes:

  • Copyediting
  • Proofreading
